For WOC Nurses & Ostomy Clinicians
A simple option for patients bothered by stoma noise
Stoma noise is one of the most common concerns patients are too embarrassed to raise. Ostopaix is a low-profile, non-invasive system that helps reduce audible flatus without interfering with stoma function.
Designed by a former ostomate. I created Ostopaix after living with an ostomy myself, because I wanted something that actually worked under normal clothing.
How it works
-
Soft foam discs attach to the outside of the pouch and rest against the peristomal area.
-
A 2-ply abdominal band applies gentle, continuous pressure, which helps stabilize the stoma and dampen the vibration that causes the noise.
-
Normal output and gas still pass freely into the pouch. Nothing is inserted into or over the stoma opening.
-
Patients can roll the band down at any time to take a break from the pressure.
Good to know
-
Works with 1-piece systems, and with 2-piece systems once the flange diameter is measured
-
Suitable for colostomies and ileostomies
-
Works with vented or unvented pouches (unvented pouches need burping)
-
Discs stay tacky for at least 14 days per set
-
Ultra-low profile and discreet under clothing
-
Latex Free

What patients say
"I still remember the first time I used your product. I started to feel the usual sensation and I looked to make a quick exit. Then it happened and no noise. I almost cried with relief. I'm hopeful more people will find your wonderful product." - Kelly
"I am loving the system. It helps with the noise we can't control, but I also love the added padding and protection I feel for my stoma." - Alanna
